Privacy notice
Last updated: 2026-06-29
This website collects only the information you give us directly on the request-access form, and uses it only to reply to you. We do not set cookies or load third-party trackers. The only analytics we use — Vercel Analytics — is cookieless and aggregated, with no personal data or fingerprinting. We do not process individual genetic data on this site; the cohort-genetics work happens in separate, managed environments described on the science and how-it-works pages.
Who runs this site (data controller)
CohortLayer is the data controller for the personal data collected through this website. Operating-entity registration and address will be published here once finalized.
Contact: hello@cohortlayer.com
What we collect
Only the fields you submit on the request-access form: your name, work email, organization, segment (Biotech / Pharma / Techbio / Research / Other), and an optional free-text line about what you'd like to validate. Nothing else.
Submissions are delivered to us as a Telegram notification; no copy is kept in a database on this site. Your IP address is used transiently for rate-limiting only and is not stored.
Why we collect it (legal basis)
To respond to your request and discuss whether CohortLayer is a fit for what you're trying to validate. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in following up on the request you initiated (Art. 6(1)(f)).
How long we keep it
For as long as the conversation is active and then for a reasonable follow-up period (typically up to 24 months from your last contact with us), after which we delete the records. You can ask us to delete sooner — see your rights below.
Who sees it
Only people working on CohortLayer. We do not sell or share your contact details with third parties. The Telegram notification routes the submission to a private chat with the CohortLayer founder; no other service receives the data.
Cookies, analytics, and tracking
We use Vercel Analytics to measure page views and traffic sources. Vercel Analytics is cookieless, does not collect personal data, does not use fingerprinting, and is compliant with GDPR and PECR. No consent banner is required. Data is aggregated and anonymous.
Genetic data on this site
The website itself does not collect, store, or process any individual genetic data. CohortLayer's analytics work against managed-access human cohorts happens in separate, governed environments — described on how it works and the science — and never returns individual-level data.
Your rights
Under EU/GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, port, restrict, or erase your personal data (Articles 15–17, 20, 21), and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe we have mishandled it.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@cohortlayer.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle data we will update this page and the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes affecting people who have submitted the form will also be notified by email.
